I’ll admit, most of my work is non-fiction. That’s what most of my classes have focused on, and I was fortunate enough to find my voice for it early at SCAD. At first it annoyed me. Like so many writers, I thought that fiction would ultimately be where I was headed. Then I had an epiphany––which should’ve come earlier, really––to combine my love of writing with my love of cars.

That’s why most of these pieces are about automobiles.

But even though they’re about a very narrow topic, I strive to make my writing as accessible to people outside the automotive world. I believe readers should be able to enjoy a piece of writing even if they aren’t part of a narrow demographic.
